After a weekend of personal bests for Mike Epps in the first weekend of the 2017 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch, the 25-year old is seeking to continue his form in the AutoAid/RCIB Racing team's updated VW CC at Donington Park this Easter Weekend. After bringing home a stunning two ninth places and a tenth in Kent, just missing out on a front row draw for the reverse-grid race three, the Hemel Hempstead man is confident heading to a circuit he feels may suit his VW even better. Mike Epps: "It's a fairly long car, with pretty good stability. You'd expect to struggle more at shorter, tighter circuits like Brands Indy and Knockhill, but so far it's not been too bad at all. It was quick straight out of the garage at the Donington media day and we are very confident the changes we've made since then have moved the car forward. Still, I'm ready to take the weekend as it comes." Fending off the likes of Rob Collard, Tom Ingram and BTCC returnee Tom Chilton across the opening three races, the Anytime Fitness and iPro Sport backed racer is in a good position to push for further points as he aims to improve upon his joint fourth position in the independent drivers standings and tenth overall.
The BTCC recommences this weekend at Donington Park on Saturday 15/Sunday 16 April, with live television coverage available on Easter Sunday from 11am on ITV4/ITV4HD.
